I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, “Where’s the self-help section?”

She said if she told me, it would defeat the whole purpose.

Death is not extinguishing the light, it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.

Soulmates by Kahlil Gibran

I shall live beyond death, and I shall sing in your ears
Even after the ‘vast sea-wave carries me back
to the vast sea-depth .
I shall sit at your board though without a body,
and I shall go with “you to Your fields, a spirit invisible.
I shall come to ‘You at your fireside, a guest unseen.
Death changes nothing but the mask that covers our faces.
The woodsman shall be still a woodsman,
The ploughman, a ploughman,
and he who sang his song to the wind
shall sing it also to the moving spheres.

Quotes on Life After Earthly Life

“I believe there are two sides to the phenomenon known as death, this side where we live, and the other side where we shall continue to live. Eternity does not start with death. We are in eternity now.
– by Normal Vincent Peale

“Of course you don’t die. Nobody dies. Death does not exist. You only reach a new level of vision, a new realm of consciousness, a new unknown world.
– by Henry Miller

“Life is eternal and love is immortal; And death is only a horizon, And a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
– by Rossiter W. Raymond

“The story of a love is not important – what is important is that one is capable of love. It is perhaps the only glimpse we are permitted of eternity.

“Life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one. In the depths of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond; and like seeds dreaming beneath the snow, your heart dreams of spring. Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
– by Kahlil Gibran

“What happens after death is so unspeakably glorious that our imagination and our feelings do not suffice to form even an approximate conception of it. The dissolution of our time-bound form in eternity brings no loss of meaning.
– by Carl Jung (1875-1961)

“Death is only a level crossing from one life to another, from life in its beginnings to life in full achievements. From this incomplete life to that transformed one.

Poem – Rainbow Bridge

(Inspired by a Norse legend)

By the edge of  a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and. woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge, they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met.
Together again, both person and pet.
So, they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over together.
